British chest of drawers: An antique dresser of the 17th century
The English chest is originally a box or chest with a movable lid. Only from the middle of the 17th century, drawers were installed and the lid firmly mounted. It became more useful und practical and transformed into the now well known British chest of drawers. The antique dresser is versatile and useful: It comes in a variety of woods, colours and sizes and fits into almost any interior - try combining some British chests of drawers or antique dressers along with beautiful mahogany or yew furniture and a Chesterfield sofa!
