Fine Grand Tour bronze figures and Art Deco bronze figures
Many particularly wealthy tourists from other continents make a trip to Europe from time to time, taking here and there some classic, precious works of art as souvenirs. The round trip is called the "Grand Tour", as a big tour. The usual figures are therefore referred to as Grand Tour bronze figures. They are not unique, but still precious and sought after. Grand Tour Bronze figures can be found in large numbers here: Italian, French and other fine Grand Tour bronze figures. Another coveted type of bronzes are the Art Deco bronze figures. Beautiful, classic Art Deco bronze figures often stand on a marble base and are refined with other materials. Famous Antique Bronze Sculptures: The Dying Gaul and the Boy with a thorn/ Spinario
We have tried many famous antique bronze figures, because we are aware that especially ambitious collectors are looking for it. A classic among the ancient bronze sculptures is, for example, The Dying Gaul of Epigonos. He represents, as the name implies, a Gaul who probably fell in the Gallic War with Rome and lies on his shield and broken sword. A coveted, historical work of art. The dying Gaul can be found in several antique versions. We also have the popular, Italian bronze sculpture of the Boy with a thorn, also called Spinario in the original. The Boy with a thorn is incidentally an Italian artwork of the Grand Tour. Those who created it originally are unknown, but it is believed that Lysipp, the court sculptor of Alexander the Great, is behind the famous Capitoline antique bronze sculpture. Another famous masterpiece, which you can find here, is the Rastende by Fritz Klimsch. Many other works of art by renowned artists can also be found in our assortment.
