Antique mahogany astragal glazed solicitors bookcase and dating from around 1900. constructed from quality mahogany it has a cornice top with greek key moulding and deep frieze above two astragal glazed doors and with two internal fixed shelves. the base has a moulded edge above a further two astragal glazed doors with brass handles and internally there are three rows of five removable document shelves all having reeded fronts. the bookcase is moulded to the base and is raised on bracket feet.
the top removes for ease of transporting.
measures: 74.5? high to top and 33.5? high to base. x 17? deep and 41? wide
internal depth to top is 11.5? and internal depth to base is 14.5?
with a lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
